Service Description

Permaculture is like nature's ultimate DIY project! A design philosophy that aims to mimic natural ecosystems to cultivate food, energy and community, reduce waste and protect wild species. We invite you to join us on Wednesdays for a full day of organic gardening, compost making and permaculture landscaping as we transform our back yard into a thriving ecosystem. These hands-on workshops are aimed to introduce you to different aspects of permaculture thinking, where you can dip in for a single day of enrichment, or join the project on a recurrent basis to access a more extensive course. In each session we will move beyond techniques to a way of seeing the land and its communities that fosters cooperation, consciousness and connection. Each activity we have planned has its practical applications, while being informed by meticulous observation of natural and human flows. Exploring creative ways to work in and with nature is at the very core of our day to day life here at Mati. We are excited about opening this opportunity to share it with you!
